My Epilepsy Story

What Do You DREAM?

what-do-you-dreamThis evening as I sit here and prepare for my week ahead the word DREAM comes to mind…..You see, dreams do come true when we pursue them.

[blockquote cite=”Henry David Thoreau”]If one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams, and endeavors to live the life which he has imagined, he will meet with success unexpected in common hours.[/blockquote]

[blockquote cite=”Robert Kennedy”]There are those who look at things the way they are, and ask why…I dream of things that never were, and ask why not?[/blockquote]

My dream was to tell my personal,”My Epilepsy Story” and make a difference in this world. I cannot change what happened with Samuel, yet I can make the “bad” into something “beautiful”. These next few weeks are going to be extremely busy as I prepare the paperwork for the IRS and begin to share more about the organization. This dream was a small thing a couple of years ago and now the DREAM has become a reality. At times, I feel so inadequate but then I have AMAZING supporters that remind me that my story is so important to share. My story is one that will change the tide for epilepsy. My story is not an easy story, but it is a story of believing, courage, hope, and determination. My story is about a woman that is a mother to three beautiful children, an advocate, a person living with epilepsy, and someone that had a dream. I believe that when we ponder during the day or lay in bed at night and dream of the things that we want in life, we can achieve them…

[blockquote cite=”Harriet Tubman”]Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world.[/blockquote]

[blockquote cite=”Walt Disney”]All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them.[/blockquote]

As you finish reading this today, sit back and DREAM….What do you DREAM? Do you have the courage to pursue that dream? I hope that you all have at least one person to share your dreams with. Take some time today, sit with your best friend and share your dreams…….I look forward to dreaming with you over the next year, 6 years, 16 years, 26 years and beyond………
