Dr. Richmond Akatue is an Associate Professor of Medicine. Dr. Akatue serves as the Designated Institutional Officer (DIO) & Associate Dean for Graduate Medical Education at Meharry Medical College where he continues to serve as the Program Director of the Internal Medicine Residency Program. Dr. Akatue is an alumnus of the Medical University of Sofia, Bulgaria and a graduate of Meharry Medical College at which he earned the Master of Science of Clinical Investigation (MSCI) degree. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine and a Fellow of the American College of Physicians.
